Ordering New Prescriptions or Refills
First-time prescription fills and/or refills ordered in person can be filled while you wait. Please place your request with the clerk at the prescription “Drop Off” window. Please make sure your name, address, and date of birth are accurate and legible on the prescription.

Refills may be ordered any time of day by calling (612) 624–7655. Please allow at least 24 hours from the time the refill is requested to the time of pick up. If your refill request requires more urgent attention, please contact the pharmacy staff.
Prescription Transfers and Special Ordering
Prescriptions may be transferred from another pharmacy to Boynton. Call Boynton’s pharmacy with your name, prescription number, and the phone number of the pharmacy from which you are transferring the prescription. Please allow at least 48 hours for us to fill your transferred prescription. In some cases, medication can be special ordered. If you have a particular need, or for more information, please speak with a pharmacist.
Over-the-Counter Medications
Boynton’s pharmacy offers many over-the-counter medications and selected medical supplies for sale. Prices are often lower than those of other pharmacies. A pharmacist is always available to answer any questions you have about your prescriptions. The pharmacy's counseling booths ensure your privacy.

Payment
Boynton’s pharmacy accepts most credit cards, cash, check as payment for prescriptions and other purchases. The pharmacy will also bill many insurance plans. Pharmaceuticals are not covered by the Student Service Fee.

Students on the University-sponsored Student Health Benefit Plan, AHC Student Health Benefit Plan, or Graduate Assistant Health Benefit Plan may speak with a Boynton pharmacist to determine which prescriptions are covered by their particular plan. If a prescription is written for a medication on the health plan’s formulary, the patient will be charged the co-payment designated by their plan.

Patients covered by other insurance plans should check with their individual insurance plans for coverage details.
Delivery to St. Paul
The Boynton Health Service Satellite Clinic on the St. Paul campus dispenses medications that are used most frequently by patients. Medications are transported from the Minneapolis pharmacy daily and may be picked up during St. Paul Clinic hours. Please call the pharmacy at least 24 hours in advance of your desired pick up time.
