Margaret Belew

Margaret A. Belew, MSPT, CWC
Education: BS in Biochemistry from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY; MS in Physical Therapy from Sargent College at Boston University, Boston, MA
Credentials: MSPT, licensed with the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy. I have worked as an orthopaedic physical therapist since 1991, and at Boynton since 2008. Mayo Certified Wellness Coach, 2013.
About Myself: I am a native Minnesotan, but spent about 20 years in the Boston area. My outside interests include biking and bike commuting, playing music in a community band (clarinet and percussion), and cooking and eating delicious food. As a physical therapist, I feel like my role is to be your consultant about your body and its musculoskeletal issues, and to help you learn as much as possible about your specific issue. I am particularly interested in educating patients about the care and feeding of the spine, exercise, posture, ergonomics and body mechanics.

Jason Burgart

Jason Burgart, DPT
Education: BA in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Luther College; Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Iowa
Credentials: DPT
About Myself: My passion is to work with active people and athletes of all ability levels. My experience in athletic training has given me the tools to help people return to sport or activity following acute and chronic injury. I have a special interest in treating endurance athletes, shoulders, and acute lower extremity, specifically the knee and ankle, injuries. I also enjoy helping patients with their post-operative rehabilitation. I believe that my job is not only to guide the rehab process by improving strength, motion, mechanics and function but also to help the people that I work with fully understand their condition and why they are having pain. Physical Therapy is successful when patients have met their goals and returned to their prior level of activity with an education and understanding of how to protect themselves against a recurrence of pain. Outside of work I enjoy time with family and friends, traveling, and being as active as possible: golfing, running, biking, swimming, strength training, participating in triathlons, snow shoeing, ice skating, and skiing.

Marie Idelkope

Marie Idelkope, DPT
Education: BA in Psychology from College of St. Benedict; Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Minnesota.
Credentials: DPT
About Myself: I enjoy educating patients about what is causing their pain or limitation and working with them in order to get back to their prior level of function. I have a special interest in working with lower extremity injuries. In my free time, I like spending time with my family, running, playing tennis, cross country skiing, and camping.

Joe Schoess, DPT

Joe Schoess, DPT
Education: BS in Kinesiology and BA in Biblical Studies with a minor in Coaching from University of Northwestern, St. Paul; Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota.
Credentials: Board Certified as Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association since 2015; Certified as Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist, Gold Class since 2007.
About Myself: I recently returned to Minnesota in 2015 after living in Washington state the prior three years. I enjoy working with a variety of populations and problem solving with patients to help them meet their goals. I have a special interest in working with athletes and runners. Whenever possible I prefer to utilize evidence based treatment techniques, especially manual therapy and exercise. I believe in functional exercise that directly translates to benefits in my patient’s everyday lives. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two young sons. When I get the chance I like to fish, play soccer or basketball.

James Suchy, MPT

James Suchy, PT, OCS
Education: BS in Zoology from North Dakota State University; MS in Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota.
Credentials: PT; Licensed with the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy; Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor (TPI CGFI). Board Certified as Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist, OCS, by the American Physical Therapy Association since 2015. I have worked as an orthopaedic physical therapist since 2001.
About Myself: I have a special interest in the treatment of runners and golfers, but am comfortable treating joint and spine injuries of the non-athlete as well. I believe that treatment should be a team approach, with the patient and caregiver working on correcting the cause of people’s injuries and establishing an effective way to manage a condition or avoid further injury. I enjoy educating patients in exercise and home management techniques. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, hunting, and golfing.
