Amy Bakken

Amy Bakken, MA, CWHC, CPT
Education: BA in Anthropology and Psychology, Hamline University; MA Counseling and Psychotherapy, Adler Graduate School; Life Coaching Certification, Adler Graduate School.
Credentials: Certified Wellness and Health Coach—Real Balance Wellness; Certified Personal Trainer NSCA; Certified Group Exercise Instructor NETA; National Trainer for Wellness Coaching; NETA.
About Myself: I enjoy partnering with people in managing stress because I love to see the creative and resourceful strategies people generate when focusing on what is possible rather than what is limiting. I strive to provide an open and light environment where these strategies can be uncovered. My strategies for managing stress include exploring the world through travel, food, reading, moving and of course, laughter.

Margaret Belew

Margaret A. Belew, MSPT, CWC
Education: BS in Biochemistry from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY; MS in Physical Therapy from Sargent College at Boston University, Boston, MA
Credentials: MSPT, licensed with the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy. I have worked as an orthopaedic physical therapist since 1991, and at Boynton since 2008. Mayo Certified Wellness Coach, 2013.
About Myself: As a Health Coach for Physical Activity, I enjoy the full spectrum of situations we see here, from introducing people to exercise who have never exercised in the past to talking about the best strategies for training for a triathlon, and everything in between. It's an honor (and great fun!) to get to know as many of you as we do and to share in the process with you.

Kathryn Kasner

Kathryn Kasner, RD, LD
Education: Bachelors Degree in Dietetics, College of St. Benedict
Credentials: Registered and Licensed Dietitian
About Myself: I believe that small changes in our diet can make a big impact on our overall health. With my passion for food and nutrition, I enjoy helping others to make healthy lifestyle changes that fit into their busy lives and unique situations. In my spare time I enjoy walking outside with my basset hound, spending time with my husband and trying new recipes.

Maggie Vertalino, RD, LD, MPH

Maggie Vertalino, RD, LD, MPH
Education: BS in Dietetics at the University of Kentucky; Masters in Public Health from the University of Minnesota
Credentials: RD, LD, MPH
About Myself: I have a huge passion for food in all of its forms—from cooking, recipes, and grocery shopping to the role food and its nutrients play in the body. My clinical interests in dietetics lie in eating disorders, weight management, exercise/sports, and pregnancy nutrition and I love working with others to reach their health goals. I believe in an "all foods fit" approach. Growing up in Kentucky made me a huge college basketball fan. My other outside interests are playing with my daughter, dancing, sports, cooking, reading, being outside, and spending time with family and friends.
