Waiving The Plan
How To Waive
If you are either on your parents' plan or your employer provides health insurance, you will not be required to purchase the insurance plan offered by the University-sponsored Student Health Benefit Plan.
  • To ensure that you will not be billed for health insurance, provide the name of your insurance company or health maintenance organization (HMO) and your policy number when you register for classes in-person or complete an online registration via the UMM Student Self-Service Website.

  • You must enter this information each semester when you register. The deadline for updating this information each semester is the last day of the first week of class (this date will be listed on the registration website).

  • If you do not provide/confirm this information, you will be assessed a non-refundable charge for the Student Health Benefit Plan.
