If you are
either on your own insurance plan, your parents' plan or your employer provides health
insurance, you will not be required to
purchase the insurance plan offered by University of Minnesota (known as
the University-sponsored Student Health Benefit Plan).
- To ensure
that you will not be billed for health insurance,
provide the following when you register for classes in-person or
complete a
web registration:
- name of
your insurance company and its telephone number, and your policy
number or
- name of
your health maintenance organization (HMO) and your policy
number

You must enter this information each semester when you register. The
deadline for updating this information
each semester is the last day
of the second week of class (this date will be listed on the
One Stop website).
