How to use MEDEX Services

Always carry the MEDEX ID card with you when you travel outside of the United States. Printed on the card are the telephone numbers for the worldwide MEDEX network. In an emergency, call the toll-free number for the country you are in. If you are in a country not listed, please call either the Brighton, England or Baltimore, Maryland Command Center collect.  If the condition is an emergency, you should immediately go to the nearest physician or hospital without delay and then contact one of the Command Centers.

Once you call MEDEX you will be asked to provide your name, the University’s name, and a description of the situation. A multilingual coordinator will immediately render whatever assistance is necessary.  MEDEX monitors all cases until the situation is resolved.

For more information, contact MEDEX Assistance at 1-800-527-0218 or visit the MEDEX Website for more information.
