Student Health Benefit Plan (SHBP)
The University of Minnesota Morris (UMM) - Student Health Benefit Plan will provide significantly improved health insurance for UMM students. The new plan is a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota plan and offers the same complete benefit design for eligible students, and their dependents, as provided to students on the Twin Cities campus.
Eligibility
The University requires all students admitted to a degree (enrolled for 6 or more credits) and are automatically assessed the Student Services Fees to have health insurance. Students who meet this requirement will automatically be enrolled in the Student Health Benefit Plan unless the provide proof of private verifiable health insurance coverage during the registration process.

Spouse(s) or domestic partner(s) (same sex) and/or dependent(s) of students are only eligible to enroll in the plan if the student enrolls during the open enrollment period (in the fall semester). Read more on dependent enrollment.
