The University of Minnesota requires all students who register for six or more credits (three in the summer) and are admitted to a degree program, to have health insurance.

Health Insurance - Duluth Campus

The University Minnesota, Duluth (UMD) Student Health Benefit Plan will be changing to provide significantly improved health insurance for UMD students. The new plan offers the same complete benefit design for eligible students, and their dependents, as provided to students on the Twin Cities campus, except the benefits provided at UMD Health Service due to limitations of services provided.

The type of program you belong to may indicate the type of health insurance you should have. Click on the plan name and find out coverage, benefit or waiver details.
