Health Insurance - Crookston Campus

Boynton Health Service administers the student insurance plan at the Crookston campus This plan is known as the University-sponsored Student Health Benefit Plan (SHBP). With this plan, all services provided at UMC Student Health Services will be covered. Students will be responsible for services that are not covered.

The type of program you belong to may indicate the type of health insurance you should have. Click on the plan name and find out coverage, benefit or waiver details.

 
  1. Student Health Benefit Plan


If you register for six or more credits and are admitted to a degree program, but do not have health insurance, the University will automatically enroll you in the University-sponsored Student Health Benefit Plan.

  1. International Students & Scholars Health Insurance


All international students and their dependents will be automatically enrolled in the Student Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) unless they are covered by a United States-based employer-sponsored health plan.

  1. International Medical Assistance (MEDEX)


The Student Health Benefits Plan not only provides you with a comprehensive health coverage, but also comes with travel benefits such as free medical assistance for international travels. Know how to use MEDEX services when you travel and obtain a copy of your MEDEX ID card from this website.
