All AHC students (see list of schools)
will be automatically enrolled in the Student Health Benefit Plan
(AHC-SHBP) starting fall semester 2005. This plan provides easy,
affordable coverage for the unique needs of the students.
Students who do not fall into any of these categories: AHC students,
international or graduate assistants, are eligible for the Student
Health Benefit Plan (SHBP).
If you register for six or more credits and are
admitted to a degree program, but do not have health insurance, the
University will automatically enroll you in the
University-sponsored Student Health Benefit Plan.
All international students will be automatically
enrolled in the Student Health Benefit Plan (SHBP), unless they are covered by a United States-based
employer-sponsored health plan, the Graduate Assistant Health
Benefit Plan (GA Plan) or Academic Health Center Health Benefit Plan
(AHC-SHBP).
Students enrolled in the Student Health Benefit Plan during spring
semester will be automatically covered on the Plan through the summer
semester at no additional charge.
