Gopher Quick Clinic provides fast, convenient medical service to the University community.
Gopher Quick Clinic is intended for evaluation and treatment of simple, straightforward medical concerns within the limited scope below. If you are uncertain as to whether you could be seen in Gopher Quick Clinic, please call the Medical Information Nurse at 612-625-7900.
Gopher Quick Clinic's certified practitioners diagnose, treat, and write prescriptions when indicated. Visits last approximately 10 minutes. No appointment necessary, but patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Gopher Quick Clinic is limited to addressing one of the following concerns (see below) per patient visit.
Note: If you were seen by a medical provider within the last three weeks and your condition is not better, please make a follow-up appointment in Primary Care.
Eye, Ears, Nose, and Throat Symptoms: Cough or cold, ear discomfort, pink eye (no contact lens wearers), seasonal allergies, sinus discomfort, sore throat
Suspected Skin Conditions: Athlete's foot, cold sores, eczema, impetigo, minor sunburn, poison ivy, ringworm, or warts (three or fewer, does not include genital warts)
Urinary Symptoms: Bladder infection/UTI (female only)
Vaccines: Tetanus vaccine (Td and Tdap) or flu vaccine (not available at Gopher Quick Clinic while flu vaccination clinics are being administered on campus)
Additional Services: Pregnancy test
To keep visits quick, Gopher Quick Clinic is limited to running the following standard tests: strep test, mono test, pregnancy test, rapid influenza test (seasonal), or urinary tract infection test (female UTIs only; do not take "Uristat" or "Azo" before coming to Gopher Quick Clinic).
The Gopher Quick Clinic provider may determine that you need additional tests, or a higher level of care. Further testing may be done through an appointment in Boynton's Primary Care Clinic or an appointment with your regular primary care provider.

Service is provided on a first-come first-served basis. Gopher Quick Clinic may reach capacity prior to 5:00 p.m. depending on demand.
Boynton Health Service will have reduced services on Thursday, May 23 due to an important staff meeting. Most of the clinics will be closed.
What’s open: Dental Clinic, Patient Accounting, Pharmacy, Public Health and Communications, Lab, Student Insurance, and Urgent Care.
In honor of Memorial Day, Boynton Health Service will be closed on Monday, May 27.
Meet the Gopher Quick Clinic providers
Students: Gopher Quick Clinic services are available at no cost to you after the bill has been processed by your health plan.*
Faculty and Staff: Gopher Quick Clinic visits incur a $10 copayment for faculty and staff enrolled in any UPlan medical plan option**—even if Boynton is not your designated primary care clinic.
* Students on the University-sponsored Graduate Assistant Health Benefit Plan incur a $10 copayment at the time of visit. For all other students admitted to a degree program who pay the mandatory Student Services Fee and have health plan coverage from any provider (including the University-sponsored Student Health Benefit Plan), the cost for a Gopher Quick Clinic visit is covered by their health plan and/or the Student Services Fee.
** Dependents of staff and faculty enrolled in a UPlan health plan may be seen at Gopher Quick Clinic for a $10 copayment. The co-pay amount is subject to change yearly depending on the UPlan contract.
