Job Title:

Licensed Practical Nurse

Hours:

Mondays to Saturdays, 40 hours a week

No. of Persons Wanted: 1

Job Duties:

  1. Deliver nursing care under the supervision of registered nurse supervisor.

  2. Room patients, take vital signs, clean and dress wounds, and monitor patients throughout treatment.

  3. Prepare and clean exam rooms, obtain and disinfect supplies and equipment, transport patients, provide reception and scheduling duties as needed.

  4. Perform delegated medical treatments.

  5. Administer prescribed medicines and immunizations, perform lab tests and assist with procedures.

  6. Report and document information.

  7. Maintain records, prepare lab slips and test requests, answer phones and route messages.

  8. Health teaching and counseling as ordered by Medical Provider.

  9. Continual improvement of systems and processing supporting nursing practices.

  10. Attend staff meetings, in-services, and classes.

Essential Qualifications:
  1. Completion of accredited practical nursing program.
  2. Licensure by the state of Minnesota to practice practical nursing.
  3. Annual CPR training and recertification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Must meet education and certification requirements.
     
  2. Must meet verbal communication requirements, i.e. good command of English language and expresses concerns, ideas, and issues effectively.
     
  3. Must meet written communications requirements, i.e., uses correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
     
  4. Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively within the organization's policies and guidelines.
     
  5. Must demonstrate a professional and caring manner to our patient population.
     
  6. Must demonstrate ability to organize and systematize personal work priorities.
     
  7. Must relate past work experience and training to job vacancy requirements.
     
  8. Must demonstrate technical/specialized knowledge and accept required on-the-job training.
