Boynton and the University of Minnesota Wellness Program are pleased to offer one-on-one, in-person face-to-face health coaching at our East Bank and St. Paul clinics to all UPlan members—at no cost to you!
Health coaches have the expertise to help you with one or more of the following wellness areas:
Health coaching sessions are designed to help you establish goals for improved wellness, while providing accountability and support for reaching and maintaining your goals. All appointments are 30 minutes.
To earn 200 Wellness Points, you must attend three appointments before Aug. 31. You may make further appointments in consultation with your coach or coaches.
Please allow four to six weeks after your third appointment for Wellness Program Points to appear in StayWell Online.
Weight control, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and meal planning are just a few topics that fall into the nutrition coach's area of expertise. These sessions can help health coaching participants establish goals as well as provide accountability and support for reaching and maintaining those goals.
The physical activity health coach is also a physical therapist who can help you create a physical activity goal, translate that into an action plan and introduce you to exercises and activities that can help you meet and maintain your goals.
Thinking about quitting smoking? Want to explore your options for creating a quit plan? The Tobacco cessation Health Coaching can help you create a customized quit plan that combines nicotine replacement therapy and counseling to increase your success!
