Boynton Health Service welcomes all University of Minnesota students, faculty, staff, dependents and community members
Students receive most services at Boynton at no out-of-pocket cost. Students with any health insurance coverage and who have paid the Student Services Fee receive the following at no cost:

Students must have active health plan coverage to access Student Services Fee benefits at Boynton Health Service. After each visit, Boynton Health Service will bill your health plan. Once Boynton receives payment and/or an explanation of benefits from your health plan, any balance remaining will be offset by the Student Services Fee (for those students who pay the Student Services Fee at the beginning of the term) except for the following exclusions:
Any charges not covered by the Student Services Fee will be the patient’s responsibility.
Check with your health plan about prescription coverage. If a prescription is written for a medication on your health plan's formulary, you will be charged the copayment designated by your plan. Students enrolled in a University-sponsored health plan should consult the Boynton Health Service Pharmacy to determine which prescriptions are covered by their particular plan.
Boynton Health Service participates with all UPlan health plans. UPlan members enrolled in HealthPartners or Medica coverage have the option to choose Boynton as their primary care clinic. Boynton works closely with the Office of Human Resources' Wellness Program to offer special programs for UPlan members. Health Coaching and Health Screening are no cost to UPlan members, and Gopher Quick Clinic is open to UPlan members for just a $15 copayment per visit.
